Happy pig!

Inspired by a recent trip to Bede's World, they have a farm with some rather cool animals. One in particular was a huge pig called Millie. She seemed rather happy when I started taking photos. So I imagine that she would have loved the chance to sign them.

Yesterday I had a go at painting and this is the result. I haven't painted in a good few years and I don't have a steady hand at all. But I do kind of like it. Its not as dark in real life as it is here. Hopefully its pretty obvious what its a take on. I also decided against painting dots on the face cause that would probably have ended up a mess.

Car Portrait!

Here's my latest portrait I did for a friend. As usual I'm not 100% happy with it and I hated drawing out the text! However, I think it's alright considering I've probably only ever drawn a car like once in my entire life! It did originally have a sketchy background but I decided it looked better without.

Here is a sneak peek at how the stickers are looking. These are the ones I managed to save from yesterdays attempt. They're actually quite a decent size, the backing paper is quite thick but the sticker itself is the same as any other sticker. In the pack you will be getting 20 stickers and 2 postcards of your choice.

This was done really quickly, as you can see its not like my usual portraits. This is my nephew Caleb, it's his christening soon so this was done to put on the front of a card I've made.

Munkey Rorschach!

Some people may boo and hiss at this but I hadn't actually heard of Watchmen until the film came out. I must say I wasn't expecting much, it was really over hyped. But I really enjoyed the film especially Rorschach who is just an awesome character. I love that he has this black and white view of the world. However I decided to base the munkey on the comic version as I prefer the look of him as opposed to the film. I've got to get around to reading the comics sometime I hear the film just doesn't compare.

Radioactive Hillbilly Zombies from Outer Space!

This was done for the boyfriend who came up with the title, based on the posters for really old B movies. I actually plan on painting this at some point on actual canvas and making it more like those posters. I used a lot of reference for this even going as far as taking photos of myself!
I was planning on adding in a background but I thought as its only a line drawing you would lose some of the main picture. I'll probably add in a graveyard scene or spaceships when I do the painting.

Celebrate!

Here's something a little different. I was looking for something to draw besides munkeys and my friend is currently doing theme drawings so I suggested we should draw something for the same theme. This is the result, the theme is 'Celebrate'.

I just had to sneak a munkey in, its a good job he can't see whats going on behind him it might scare the party out of him! So I guess the only person not celebrating is Billy.
